Pallet Racking —Direct Access to Every Pallet

Selective (single-deep) pallet racking is the industry standard for fast, accurate picking across mixed SKUs. You get direct access to every pallet with no reshuffling, faster turns, and tighter stock control.

Owner-led delivery from consultation through installation.

Why Selective Pallet Racking

  • Access every pallet immediately: No time lost moving stock to reach what you need.

  • Built for SKU variety: Ideal for operations with frequent rotation and many SKUs.

  • FIFO-friendly: Supports first-in, first-out inventory.

  • Modular and adaptable: Adjust beam levels, add bays, or expand as you grow.

  • Built to last: Pre-galvanised frames and powder-coated beams handle daily warehouse rigours.

  • NZ compliant: Designed and installed to the NZ Building Code with full documentation.

Where Selective Wins

  • 100% access to every pallet: Fast picks and no reshuffling to reach stock.

  • FIFO friendly: Suits perishables and frequent rotation across many SKUs.

  • Fastest to re-slot and expand: Adjust beam levels, add bays, or extend runs easily.

  • Lowest equipment barrier: Works with standard reach or counterbalance forklifts.

  • Best for mixed SKUs: Clear locations, tight stock control, fewer mispicks.

  • NZ compliant: we can manage your building consent and CCC applications to council.

How It Works

Selective (single-deep) racking stores one pallet per position facing the aisle. Every pallet is directly accessible, so operators drive to the slot and lift without moving other loads. Bays and beam levels are set to your pallet sizes, weights, and forklift reach. The layout balances capacity with safe aisle widths and turning circles, keeping travel paths clear for inbound, outbound, and replenishment.

What You’ll Need to Run It Well

Forklifts and aisles

  • Standard reach or counterbalance forklifts—no telescopic forks or pantographs needed.

  • We confirm aisle widths, lift heights, and turning for your fleet (reach, counterbalance, or VNA if you plan to tighten aisles).

Inventory profile

  • Strong fit: high SKU variety, fast movers, items needing FIFO, frequent cycle counts.

  • Not ideal: operations where extreme density matters more than 100% access (consider double-deep, shuttle, or drive-in).

Floor and structure

  • We check slab thickness/strength and anchors, then set seismic bracing, flue spaces, and load signage for NZ conditions.
